CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Bryan Marriner said it was his plan all along to have a one-stop location here where customers from nearby shore towns could find all of their kitchen, vanity and tiling needs.

"From day one I’ve had this thought in my head for years and knew the competitive advantage I’d have as a one-stop," Marriner said.

Marriner, of Cape May Court House, is the owner of La Terra Stone, a stone supplier that opened its showroom in October but will hold an official grand opening on April 14 with a barbecue, drinks and multiple bounce houses for children.

With his old location, Marriner said he would never be able to display all of the varieties his company offers.

Now, with a new 16,000-square-foot building, La Terra Stone can feature over 500 slabs of marble, granite and other stones.

Marriner said he wants families to be able to walk in and find everything they need for their home.

"What we’re trying to do is develop a place where couples can get all their needs — like tile samples, kitchen countertops, vanity work — all while they’re here," Marriner said.

Marriner purchased the vacant lot in May of 2016 and broke ground in October of the same year. A year later he was open for business. Now there are a total of 17 workers at the building.

La Terra Stone is located at Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway. Cars that drive by can see stone samples in the back of the building as they drive down the road. It is close to most of Marriner's customers, who are from local shore towns like Stone Harbor and Avalon.

"It's kind of the perfect location," Marriner said.

For April 14, Marriner said there will be barbecue chicken and pork as well as beer and wine. La Terra Stone will also be giving away multiple prizes like a granite kitchen countertop, a marble vanity top and a kitchen tile backsplash.
