A maker of cabinets for single-family homes and multi-family developments plans to establish a new production facility in eastern North Carolina, state and company officials announced.

Warsawing Cabinets LLC, which does business as Design Mode Cabinetry, will design, manufacture, and ship frameless cabinets from a high-tech factory and distribution hub in Warsaw, North Carolina. The company is expected to invest more than $13 million to upgrade the vacant 245,000-square-foot building.

Officials said the new complex will help meet the growing demand for cabinets from the residential construction sector. The project is expected to create 139 new jobs.

Adrian Carroll, Design Mode President, said the company wants to build a "first-class working environment" that allows employees to come up with solutions to industry problems. Carroll also noted that Duplin County values hard work and has a strong sense of community.

The company is slated to receive a $425,000 grant, provided that it meets hiring and capital investment goals and that the award is matched by funding from local governments. State officials anticipate that the factory will have an annual payroll impact of more than $8 million.
